The pub received a significant refurbishment in June 2011 and 2018 to be part of the Raymond Blanc restaurant chain. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689. At least this solves the riddle of which King; it's William III. After refurbishment the pub is now just a long narrow bar at the front with a small secluded area at the end of the bar. There is a real log burning stove in the front bar in winter. The walls are covered by pictures associated with brewing beer. are There is a walled patio at the back (with a fruiting grape vine). Beside the pub is a car park for ~10 cars. The outside front patio area is popular in the summer. The main area of the pub towards the back is now a restaurant - seating 140 people - with an open kitchen where you can observe the chefs at work. A menu for children is available and they can also have half portions of certain items on the a la carte menu. NB. This is now a card only pub.
Outside in addition to the front patio, the car park has been AstroTurfed and transformed with an illuminated and heated open tent with eleven wooden garden seating units (with cushions) each accommodating up to 8 people. There are also two large TV screens ready for use. Although setup during covid19 restrictions a planning application has been submitted for this facility to continue.
