This out of the way country pub is a real gem. Accessed via the main entrance at the rear of the pub, it is awash with elaborate woodwork features reclaimed from local churches and stately homes. There are interconnecting rooms linked to both the main bar and the smaller original bar at the front, and a large dining area. Parts of the pub date from the 13 century: Splendid fireplaces surround the solid fuel stoves.
Excellent home cooked food is available from either the main menu or an extensive range of seasonal specials. All the food is locally sourced, as are the beers. Drinkers may also select from an extensive range of malt whiskys and gins.
Outside is a large elevated beer garden with excellent views towards Titterstone Clee Hill and Ludlow beyond.
A self-contained Holiday Let with its own garden is situated adjacent to the pub. Visitors with Motor Homes are welcome to park-up overnight, please ask the Landlady.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
