A 13th century Grade II listed rambling thatched inn. On entry you are welcomed by a long copper bar with an inglenook fireplace and a comfortable TV lounge offset. Three steps takes you up to another bar and a further three steps to a pleasant restaurant. The interior of the inn retains its character with old beams, tiled floors, copper and brassware. Wood-fired sour dough pizzas are available Thurs-Sat and the beer range usually includes beers from Chapter and Geipel. The unusual name relates to flax once a mainstay crop locally.
