The present pub is on the site of the old Lowfield Inn which was demolished in 2007. The current sympathetic reincarnation was opened in 2008. It is large inside with four areas furnished in a rustic style. There's a lounge with some sofas, a bar with pool table, and two dining areas, one of which is akin to a conservatory looking out onto the garden and patio. Nice view from the conservatory and garden to the Long Mountain in the west. The lawned area and patio are pretty spacious. The pub has a Loyalty Card and Happy Hour. Part of a small pub group along with the Raven at Welshpool, the Dog & Bull at Coton, and the Sun at Welshampton.
