The former Moreton Country Club was taken over by Wolverhampton & Dudley breweries in 1975 and they submitted plans to convert the house under plans by architects Butler Wones & Partners. These plans were granted and a new licence was granted and it opened to its first customers on 8th March 1977. The pub has an L-shaped lounge and a smaller bar with a TV and a dart board.
