Primarily a cocktail bar
Formerly Dickie Fitz, this became a branch of Mr. Fogg's cocktail-bar chain in July 2018. The conceit is that the venue "will take guests on a sensory journey to an enchanted land of plants, herbs and spices, which Phileas Fogg brought back from his Around The World In 80 Days voyage". The greenery around the venue is enhanced by high ceilings and large windows giving plent of light. The ground-floor bar sells draught keg lagers, pale ales and a stout. Light-bite type food is on offer.
The venue operates an Over-21 policy; single-sex parties of six or more are not allowed.
The site’s use for alcohol sales dates back to 1780 under its former names “The Oxford and Cambridge”, “The Cambridge Stores” and “The Cambridge Arms”. The building was rebuilt around 1900.
