Built in 1905 on the site of its burnt-down predecessor, and originally the Lion and Lamb, this pub has a lounge bar, with open fires and pew-like window seating, a family room, and a noteworthy inn sign. Home-cooked meals, soups and sandwiches are available lunch time and early evening. The adjacent building, with semi-circular windows, was built as a stable but never used as such.
As of June 2023 also open for breakfast 8am to 11am. Sunday lunches notionally from noon to 3pm but liable to sell out by about 2pm or soon after. Hours may extend as trade builds under new management.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
