Lively, two-bar modern estate pub with pool tables and dart boards. Real ale back on the bar as of 7th March 2017, but this has not proved to be consistent. Framed sports shirts adorn the walls and one bar has an old piano in the corner. The pub shows live sport including football and boxing.
Historic Interest
According to Alfred Hedges' 1976 book, "Inns & Inn Signs of Norfolk & Suffolk", the name of the pub is explained by pronouncing the words nasally, when they sound like the cry of the heron which is shown on the sign. Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/799
