Pleasant former Morrells inn overlooking the green and Oxford canal. The Licensee Tim Bowring, who has been here over 25 years, is a fan of real ale and trys to choose something a bit different although tied to GK. The pub is two buildings joined together, the front bar being the oldest [about 1860] and in the past was notorious for brawling canal folk. Todays customers are better behaved. The pub is said to be haunted, perhaps as a result of it being used as a mortuary after the Christmas Eve train crash of 1874.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
