Established as a workingmans club in 1943 on the site of a former vicerage. Locally known as ‘Clwb y Stesion’ (the Station Club) referring to it being sited adjacent to a railway platform and line previously used for hauling coal from collieries further up the valley and previous to that circa. 1920 as a passenger line from Llanelli to Cwmmawr. Awarded Carmarthenshire Club of the year 2018.
