Although primarily a busy and successful dining venue, the pub does have a pleasant but small bar area for the casual drinker. It's a large place with three dining areas including an attractive conservatory. It is one of only two Shropshire pubs on the Montgomery Canal, and its prominent location at a mooring area undoubtedly adds to its customer base. The "Monty" is a branch of the Llangollen Canal, and because a limit is imposed on the number of boats that are allowed on it, traffic is not substantial. It can also be viewed from the front patio.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
