Recently refurbished Georgian building standing on the 19th-century route of the A6, with four public rooms including a family room and a further separate restaurant. Outside there is a large beer garden and ample seating with a large car park.The recently built Lodge provides more seating and outdoor tv viewing for special events. Seven cask ales are served, along with a large selection of gins, whiskies, fine wines and bubbles.

A four-roomed pub, still with much of its original layout and fittings. A rare feature is the split door hatch in the smoke room, complete with upper door. Old bar counters in the tap room and public bar and the former has screenwork up to the ceiling.
