Originally the first inn travelling on the road from Reading, but now a popular and busy community local serving a good selection of up to four real ales that includes some from local breweries. The pub comprises a single spacious bar, plus a small room for children at the rear. Very much a sports lover's pub with many large TV screens that have the volume turned down for any other events (the supporters can get a bit noisy). There is also a useful, separate alcove area for darts players. To the rear is a car park and garden plus a terraced area with tables at the front where the covered wooden benches double-up as a smoking area. Regular quiz on Sunday evenings. Well behaved dogs are welcome. No food, but bar snacks or nibbles are available.
NOTE: Cash and CARDS now both accepted.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
