This customer focused pub attracts a wide range of people, including Morris dancers, sports teams, locals, and those visiting the attractive 12th century parish church next door. The oldest licensed 'pub' in Halifax, it has stood here for over 400 years and incorporates a headstone of 1635 in one of the cellar walls. There is a comfortable lounge and a room leading off it.
Under new management from August 2022, they hope to restart daily food from Spring 2023.
