Originally built in the early 1800's and called The Old Star, it changed its name in the mid 1980's to The Falconer and again at the turn of this century to it's present name The Sharnford Arms.
The popular Chinese restaurant inside the pub also offers takeaways. Dogs are always welcome, and are usually greeted with a treat and a sniff from the resident black Labrador 'Silkie.
Leicestershire Dog Friendly pub of the Year 2018-2019. The first Sunday of every month is ‘Doggy Sunday’ where doggy fun and treats abound.
