A pub by the name of the Ship & Castle has existed on this site for hundreds of years. The present structure was built to a design by architect A E Cogswell in 1902. A genuine free house, majoring on food sales, the pub serves lunchtime carveries (see website for menu and serving times). The pub is very popular during the tourist season, as it is located close to the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays.
An ATM can be found within the pub (withdrawal charges apply).
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
