Its warren of rooms includes two bars, a restaurant open every day, and 15 bedrooms. The walls display evocative pictures of Thames life, including local rowing events. The long riverside terrace by the hotel's moorings is ideally placed to watch the boats go by and Staines Bridge.
The earliest mention of this establishment is in 1678 when a bargeman killed another there. Its less sinister claim to fame is that is has the longest private mooring on the Thames at 150ft.
