A 17th century, listed, building in an enviable riverside location within sight of the weir where Thames barges used to assemble prior to the adjacent lock being constructed to be winched up to the higher reaches of the river. This is a large pub with several distinct areas to imbibe from the regularly-changing upmarket food menu or extensive drink offerings. The Thames Path passes close by and the sun-trap terrace allows gongoozlers to watch passing rivercraft as well as those mooring up alongside the pub.
