Reopened on 13 August 2021 as part of the Oak Taverns group. Previously owned by Punch Taverns, it had been closed from 22 July 2021 for refurbishment.
The Greyhound has a main L-shaped bar with a low ceiling and plenty of beams and wood panelling, with an updated contemporary, minimalist décor. It is a former ferryman's cottage. A small meeting/function room has been opened up to the right of the entrance, which can be booked by groups wishing to use it. The garden to the rear will be further refurbished in 2023 to provide a paved patio area as well as a grassed area. It is an attractive setting, with seating for many customers.
Three cask-conditioned beers are served, sourced nationally, regionally, and occasionally, locally, often from the newer small breweries. The pub is wet-led.
Update (21 December 2023): street trading licences were granted by the South Oxfordshire District Council Street Trading Panel on 4 December 2023, but planning permission now needs to be applied for; until this is granted the street food offering will continue with a 10p donation to charity. As of Friday 7 September 2023 the street food offering has been temporarily reinstated (check the Facebook page for details of hours) with a 10p donation to charity pending formal reinstatement. As of 4 August 2023 the street food offering had been suspended until further notice on the advice of the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse Licensing Partnership. The suspension would continue until the permit(s) required for street trading to take place legally at this site were granted. Formerly "Pop-up hot food, such as pizzas, fish and chips, burgers, and oriental style dishes are available most evenings from 5 - 9pm and from 1 - 4pm on some Saturdays and most Sundays. All the pop-up vendors also allow for food takeaway."
