This traditional, friendly, multi-roomed local is believed to be New Brighton's oldest as well as highest pub. It has a conservatory extension. Change of management and updated decor in 2019. The handpumps are in the main bar area, with two changing ales on offer.
Historic Interest
Built in 1841, an Argyle Brewery pub becoming Birkenhead Brewery in 1866. The old photo is outside the pub in 1892. Selling Whitbread beers in the 1980s. Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2009.
