The Village Inn, which reopened in late 2006, is unrecognisable from the inn which closed in the mid 1990s - an ugly duckling reborn as a swan. Initially the home of the Nailsworth Brewery, since 2016 Keep Brewing presides over the mash tuns downstairs.
An intricate warren of rooms and spaces has been created with care and flair, salvaged furniture and fittings combined with new joinery. All it lacks is the patina of age. Do not miss the superb poster of the original Nailsworth brewery.
Bring your own food or takeaway meals from the chip shop next door - other takeaway outlets can be found on Market Street nearby, which also boasts a Co-op and Tesco Express. A large Morrisons is also just around the corner on George Street.
