Formerly called the Duke of York, this 18th-century inn is in a prime location next to Mountsorrel lock, making it a popular mooring point for narrowboats. There is a basic wood-panelled bar with bench seating and a larger, comfortable lounge and restaurant overlooking the River Soar. Sunday carvery from noon till 6 p.m.
