A frequent local CAMRA Pub of the Year, this pub is in the centre of the town with links to the 19th century weaving industry. Sympathetically refurbished inside and out in 2022, the single room has modern and comfortable furnishings and is decorated with an assortment of black and white pictures of film stars. Four handpumps offer ales from an ever-changing range featuring a mix of beers from breweries in the region, and some that are rarely seen in Scotland. A range of imported bottled beers is also available.
