Predominantly a food led establishment just off the main A523 road between Leek and Macclesfield, in the picturesque village of Rushton Spencer. It is perfectly sited to cater for the many walkers and cyclists who use the old Macclesfield to Uttoxeter railway line who's track bed had been turned into a walkway and cycle track and lies within easy reach of Rudyard Lake. The old station with it's distinctive North Staffs Railway design complete with part of the remaining platform can still be seen right next door to the pub.
Four handpumps with three being from local brewery and one national from sharp's / Greene king.
