A 17th century ex-Simonds pub - the last of at least three in the village - which welcomes locals, diners and drinkers with a selection of real ales from three handpumps invariably in use and other beers from keg fonts. The historic 'L'-shaped bar and dining area - with pizzas a recent innovation - has been extended to provide a restaurant area that can be used for club and society meetings etc. (bands normally play from within the dining section). In winter, there is a welcoming wood-burning stove whilst, in summer, a large garden, although backing onto some low-rise housing, is otherwise surrounded by sylvan Berkshire countryside.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 3 regular beers.
