The Lion is an 18th century grade II listed building in an imposing position on the main road into Llansantffraid. It started life as a coaching inn and has now evolved into a comfortable village pub. The bar is to the right of the building and leads on to a games room with pool table, darts board etc. There is a raised step into the bar area so be wary upon entering! The lounge and dining room are to the left. An outdoor smoking/drinking area occupies a corner of the car park. The Lion has six en-suite rooms and is well placed for those wishing to explore the area.
