The Dovecote was newly built by Greenalls in 1993. By 2009, it was converted to a restaurant; but following a lengthy period of standing empty, the pub was extensively refurbished and reopened in May 2013. This is a large open-plan pub and restaurant with a rustic-style barn-like interior with exposed timber trusses, beams and joists. The dining areas are on the right on two levels; on the left is a small lounge area. There is an extensive patio and lawned garden at the side and front. Food is available most times, and there is a value menu on weekday afternoons.
