This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
A 17th century wayside inn near junction 23 of the M62, which difficult to find from junction 24 and positioned on a very steep bend. Originally a terrace of four stone-built cottages, it has had a various incarnations, including a 30 bedroom hotel. It is now functioning as an Italian Restaurant, and a separately owned hotel.
We understand the hotel is currently closed to the public (Jan 2023)
