This early 19th century pub, which is Grade II listed, is conveniently placed in Elland's main shopping street. Set at right angles to the road, the building is long and narrow, with benches standing on the flagstones in front. The double glass-fronted porch contains ivy, which is attractively extending itself onto the frontage. The two rooms inside, with their heavily beamed ceilings, share a 'through bar'. The tap room, with its pool table, has old cricket and snooker prints.
