Housed in an 18th Century coaching inn, beautifully renovated in a modern idiom, in the centre of historic Ripon between the cathedral and the Market Square. Timothy Taylor's most northerly tied house the Royal Oak serves a top quality range of their beers alongside one other pale from another Yorkshire brewery. The pub is separated into relaxed dining areas with log burning stoves and comfortable seating, with a first class locally sourced menu. Accommodation is available in six stylish and comfortable bedrooms including a hearty English breakfast. At the Obelisk in the nearby Market Square at 9pm every night the Ripon Hornblower sets the night watch.
