Situated near the Workhouse Museum on one of the city's oldest streets, this pub comprises a large single bar with several distinct drinking areas where walls have been removed. A community focused, down to earth pub with a warm friendly atmosphere, TV screens show a mix of old movies and sporting events. Five handpumps serve an interesting selection of both Greene King and Yorkshire real ales, sometimes including a dark beer. Meals are served Wednesday to Sunday.
