A bar with food as the name suggests, operated by the same company that operates outlets in Harrogate and Knaresborough, the pub was refurbished in 2018 by Greene King. The two room layout remains from the former Black Bull pub with bars to right and left on entering the front door. The room to the left is for dining, while the bar to the right-hand side provides a few tables and some vertical drinking space, and there is a window in the floor to view the casks in the cellar. Four handpumps, two at each end of the bar, serve Yorkshire ales.
