Reopened at 4pm on Saturday 1 October 2022 with new tenants, having been redecorated following a period of closure since the previous tenants left in April 2022.
Originally a 16th century coaching inn, with a pleasant low ceilinged bar at the front with a large open inglenook fireplace, which is now more geared to drinkers with most of the tables replaced with bar stools and sofas, and a separate dining room to the rear. There is also an enclosed garden at the back of the pub, with children's play equipment and a wood-fired pizza oven for use in the summer. The tenants are aiming to re-establish the pub as a community hub and are looking to host events such as wedding receptions and birthday parties.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
