Single-roomed pub with a central bar behind which is the cellar trap door and its vertiginous steps. The building was first a pub, then a bakery, then a pub again. It was part of the local Trough Brewery estate until the brewery's demise. Up to five real ales are offered. At least one real cider is available, often sourced from Westons. The garden area is well sheltered. Live bands, usually of the rock variety, play on Friday and Saturday from 9.30pm and on Sundays from 5.00pm. There is an annual beer festival in August and the "Bike & Trike" show. The pub can be hired for events and buffets for up to 50 people can be provided.
