This grade II listed 300 year old dining pub, sister of the nearby Bull’s Head, retains vestiges of the old multi-room layout. Opposite the village church where Mallory of Everest is commemorated in stained glass (his father was vicar). There is a fire-lit cricket themed bar, a characterful boot room and two dining rooms. There is also a private dining room upstairs and beer garden to rear. A local walk leaflet is available.

George Mallory of Everest fame was son of Vicar of Mobberley. He’s commemorated in pub and with stained glass window in church across the road.
