This pub is off the beaten track about a mile up a lane leading of the north side of the Wilmslow to Knutsford B5085 road (brown tourist signs). The main building is of whitewashed brick, originally cottages, extended with a large conservatory and outdoor drinking area. Interior décor is modern, but complements the low beamed ceilings. The pub specialises in high quality locally sourced food, priced accordingly, and served lunchtimes, evenings and all day on Sundays (booking advised evenings and Sundays). A comfortably furnished lounge bar area with deep leather settees is provided for the minority of customers who do not wish to eat, the three beers are from JW Lees . There is a large beer garden and children’s play area. Definitely a gastro pub, catering for the affluent surrounding area.
The pub is on the Heritage Loop of Laureen's Ride, a signposted horse & cycle route.
