The Brewery tap
The Brewery Tap Room is a small popular L-shaped bar which is hidden down an alley off the High Street, on the northern side between Clarke Mews and Botley MTB.
Formerly a bank, the medium sized bar/pub feels cosy especially during the winter months. There are several booths of assorted sizes with small lamps. The bar nine hand-pumps, with 7 or 8 Crackle Rock beers and a guest beer. There is cider (boxes in the summer), wine, spirits (with good range of gin) and lager. There is an option of ordering 4 or 6 one third pints on a paddle, plus vodka, gin and wine options.
Historical note: On Sunday afternoon 18th November 2018 the tap room moved from the old premises across the road to these new premises. Once time had been called in the old tap room the customers, brewery staff & friends helped pick up all the tables & chairs and anything else that was movable and carried them to the new tap room. It is still down an alley, just a different one! With its new opening hours and larger size it is more of a pub rather than a tap room.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 7 regular beers.
