Close to the river and main shopping area and next to Morrisons car park, on the far side of which is the last remenant of Bakers Brewery, note the grain hoist on the east side. Subject to flood damage many times and as recently as 2021,it has featured regularly in the Good Beer Guide. The outside drinking area at the front is a sun trap in warmer weather. Music most weekends and the pub hosts an Annual charity music day which attracts a large crowd. Up to five ales usually on offer. Popular locals pub well worth seeking out if in the area.

Historic Interest
Built in 1866 to serve a nearby dock that subsequently closed and filled in about 1927.
