Comfortable open plan local, the bar having some elaborate wood carvings and stained glass windows. Named after a local fishing fleet, there is a lot of nautical memorabilia. Superb views across the river Yare to the sea from the garden
Historic Interest
This beerhose originally called the Short Blue Tavern opened in 1870. The name is taken from the sqare blue flag flown by the Hewett fishing fleet which was known as the Short Blue Fleet.The public house closed in 1975 and reopened in 1985 as a freehouse.
