Grade 2 listed former coaching inn, a former Joule's pub, it has reverted to the name it had when first opened in 1797. Has two bars, the public bar is to the left. The otheris separated into three areas. The low ceilinged interior has brick and wood floors and is comfortably furnished. Note the stained glass panels with pictures of dogs. The building next door is available for functions. Food is not yet served, but outside caterers sometimes make an appearance. There are five handpumps, but they may not all be in use. Note that the sign outside still says "The Talbot"
