Dating from before 1841, this is a busy and cosy traditional thatched local with a beamed ceiling and open fires, dating from the late 17th Century with a recently extended the front room. This free house offers seven handpumps for changing ales. Westons Old Rosie (cider) is on another pump. Food is served every lunchtime and most evenings. The pub also has darts and crib teams.
Historic Interest
Opened before 1841 and was owned by Reed Bros of Marlborough in 1879. In 1921 the adjoining cottage was incorporated. Stroud Brewery acquired it in 1957.
