Hotel with bar open to non-residents

Genteel city centre hotel dating from the 18th century, and formerly a coaching inn, now operated as a family run Best Western franchise. The cosy lounge bar is open to non-residents. To the rear is a small beer yard, with comfortable seating and radiant heaters for winter. Bar food is reasonably priced and includes breakfast from 7pm. Two cask ales generally offered.
