A large interwar pub built in 1937 to a plan by architect Bertram Butler for Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries it had four rooms plus a large assembly room. In 1958 a large lounge was built on the veranda to the rear of the pub. In 1976 all the front rooms were knocked into one large lounge area and in 2000 the rear rooms were knocked into one and a new larger kitchen added. The pub has undergone other changes both internal and external in recent years and while drinkers are catered for its primary function is concentrated on family dining.
