This village pub offers quality food, as well as real ale. It is a large whitewashed building, with outside seating to the side and a decked seating area to the rear.
Historic Interest
In 1876 the pub was know as the Volunteer and was fully licensed under publican John Sears (Post Office Directory).
The Old Volunteer forms a local name cluster with the Old Volunteer in nearby Carlton.
