This pub is in an early 17th century listed building, which was remodelled in the early to mid 19th century. The low ceilings and timber framing is in evidence inside, although it's a fairly modern fireplace. Although by no means a large pub, there are three distinct areas which open up into each other. The bar is quite small, and adjacent is an even smaller pool room, which when in use, may block your exit to the toilets.
Pub renovated in 2020 and real ale reintroduced.
