Reopened in April 2019 after a period of closure and refurbishment. All modernised opened-out interior with stone walls and flagstone floors. Part of the pub's grounds have been developed for new housing. There is no regular bus service to Tilton.
Historic Interest
Located in the heart of the village directly opposite St Peters Parish Church this Grade II listed former coaching inn is presumed to date back to 1707. However it is understood that it may be considerably older than this with a timber-framed core. Formerly Leicester Brewing & Malting, then Ansells from the 1950s.
