A historic inn set in the middle of a pretty seaside village. Recently refurbished during the Covid lockdown period, this surprisingly spacious pub consists of three large rooms (one is the restaurant) all done out in a modern and airy style with a wooden nautical theme. There is also outside seating at the front and side. It is popular with walkers and beach goers all year round and holiday makers from the many nearby caravan and camp sites in season. A range of meals are available in all rooms. Two ales are normally available all year, with one more guest ale in season.
Parking: Since Covid, the adjacent pub car park is now used for extra outdoor seating. The narrow lane that the pub is on, leads to a nearby small village green with some parking. But it is recommended to use the large council pay and display car park about 200 metres away, accessed from the beach front roundabout, to which the pub has a key if you wish to stay after the car park closes.
