Formerly known as The Rose and Crown, this pub is set in the Staffordshire Moorlands near to Knypersley reservoir and other local walks. It was rebuilt in 1840 on the site of a much older pub. internally it comprises of one large room with the bar at one end that contains five handpumps and another smaller room for dining. Various specials on the food in the form of Sunday dinner, lunchtime specials, theme nights and more. They also can cater for large parties including Christenings, baby showers and birthdays.
Beers come from local and other micro-breweries, plus some interesting whiskies are stocked.
