Built c. 1800 as a meeting place for miners from the Swithland quarry. This popular pub, on the outskirts of the village, is traditionally furnished with wood-beamed ceilings, open fires and comfortable seating. Upstairs there is a more formal restaurant. Meals are served at lunchtime and evenings from the main menu and daily specials board.
