Friendly local, over 200 years old. The unusual split-level layout is built up to the road by the canal bridge. A Hydes pub. Wheelock Angling Society was founded here in 1948 by five local men. Extensive internal refurbishment in Summer 2017, after a short closure. New, more spacious feel to the interior as a result. Monday and Thursday 50p discount on any pint of cask ale, all day. NOTE:- car park adjacent owned by Italian Restaurant fees charged. Car parking available opposite and over bridge, immediate left by parapet towards Sandbach. Access from canal boats along warfe/canal bank path.
